Where a role is not yet fully defined, Acuity’s advisory service helps clients shape the brief and benchmark it against the South African tech market before any search begins.
How does Acuity's process work?
Acuity starts with understand the hiring problem and associated business challenge you’re trying to solve. Once the brief is clear, consultants will identify exceptional candidates ( including those not actively looking) and assess them through real conversations about the actual work rather than just abstract tests.
As a business, we ensure quality over volume, putting forward a considered shortlist of typically three candidates per role. This approach produces an 82% fill rate and a 93% offer acceptance rate, with an average of three CVs submitted per placement.
Does Acuity Consultants recruit outside South Africa?
Yes. Acuity Consultants has placed professionals internationally since 2009. The Cape Town team handles both local and cross-border assignments, most often for clients in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
Acuity recruits South African technology professionals for international roles and supports South African businesses hiring talent from international markets.
All cross-border work is managed from the Cape Town office.
What is Acuity Advisory, and how is it different from a standard recruitment brief?
Acuity Advisory is an ongoing market intelligence partnership – not a one-off search. It gives businesses access to salary benchmarking, market mapping and hiring intelligence before any roles are opened.
The goal is to test whether a workforce plan is achievable against actual market conditions, so gaps are not discovered for the first time when a job advert goes live.
It is the right starting point when planning growth rather than reacting to a vacancy.
Is Acuity Consultants B-BBEE compliant?
Yes. Acuity Consultants is a Level 2 B-BBEE contributor. For South African clients with preferential procurement policies, spend with Acuity counts towards their B-BBEE scorecard.
