Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE / DATA WAREHOUSE / ETL DEVELOPER to join a leading RETAILER and to gain experience in DATA ARCHITECTURE and FULL SDLC.

Based in CAPE TOWN this BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE / DATA WAREHOUSE DEVELOPER role offers a salary of R550K – R650K/annum.

This position is with a leading Retailer who operate and continually strive to run a Customer-Centric business, through the management, utilisation and interpretation of exceptionally large volumes of consumer data.
You will join a BI Team of 11 people – technologies currently in use include: Oracle 11g and 12c; Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE), Power BI, Tableau, T-SQL, SSRS, DTS and SSIS. Environment is Agile and SCRUM.

As a BI DHW Developer you’ll work within a team and with business users, defining requirements and implementing BI DWH solutions. 
The role includes both back-end Data Warehouse and Database Development, as well as Front-end Analysis and Reporting. Skills in modelling data and designing data repositories would be very beneficial.
You will broaden your skills by receiving training in Data BI Solutions Design and Architecture.
Solid experience within Business Intelligence.
Back-end BI Development skills as well as experience in Data Warehousing and ETL.
At least 3+ years ETL development experience is required. 
Data modelling experience.
Exposure to Big Data technologies advantageous.
Oracle or SQL Server experience. 
Strong SQL or PL/SQL will be an advantage.
