Based in SANDTON this DATA SCIENTIST role offers a salary of R650K – R700K/annum.

The Data Science team has been building AI models to predict consumer behaviour for over a decade and they have applied it to different sectors. They are the leaders in AI platforms that deliver automated consumer behaviour predictions for companies using raw unstructured data, converting a company’s data lake into actionable insights. Data sets being worked with are PetaByte sizes.
As a DATA SCIENTIST you will join a team delivering automated consumer behaviour prediction
platform to companies, with results that are far better than traditional statistical or Machine Learning methods. You will help automate and commoditise cutting edge AI results. Beyond automation of the data science process, another focus will be to make sure you stay ahead of the pack in terms of accuracy, speed, and scalability by being creative and diligent.
Collaborate with team to improve automated feature selection, audit automated pre-processing and intervene when necessary.
Improve automated, Deep Net Architecture and meta param optimization.
Keep abreast of latest breakthrough ML publications and suggest adoption where relevant.
Monitor model performance for individual clients and advise intervention where needed.
Advise on and implement cost and time-saving measures in regard to model training.
Must have at least 3 years experience building deep nets using Python or C++.
At least 1 year of this need to have been spent on datasets larger than 1 TB.
Proficiency in using RNN architecture (Recurrent Neural Networks).
Proficiency in using NumPy, SciKit, TensorFlow.
1-year experience in distributed Deep Net implementations such as a Spark TensorFlow integration.
Experience in writing lambda functions will be preferred.
Proficient in querying databases.
Strong University level Math, Physics, Applied Math or Mathematical Statistics background required.
