Based in CAPE TOWN this DevOps position offers a salary of R800K – R900K/annum.
The role requires a keen interest in deployment, a passion for scripting and software-defined networks. Technical skills needed include Linux, Nagios (or similar), Docker, Scripting.
Key responsibilities will include building, deploying and operating software as well as managing the stack. A solid foundation in PHP/Python/Perl/Ruby or other computer languages is expected.

As Linux DEVOPS Engineer, you’ll be part of a team who build, demonstrate and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services for a diverse international client base. Duties include installing server systems, configuration updating, operating and maintaining system software. You will assist with deployment of Dev, PPE, and production environments in cloud and local DCs; Testing of systems/services during deployment; Resolve technical PROD, QA, and Dev environment issues; Investigate and address availability, performance, and capacity issues; Manage databases (deploy, optimise, backup, configure, monitor); Patch and upgrade management of servers, bought products, and developed products/services; Procurement of assets (domains, servers, licensing, etc.)
Fluency in Web Languages.
Continuous Integration Tools.
Nagios (or similar) monitoring.
Jenkins / Docker / Ansible.
Comfortable with setting up, deploying to and monitoring cloud infrastructure.
Python and Bash scripting will be an advantage.
Passionate about finding and fixing system problems, and excited about learning new things and always up for a challenge.
