Based in Stellenbosch, this .Net Developer role offers a salary of between R40k and R46k pm + benefits.
Headquartered in the U.S, this company is a leading global provider of software systems that, through the use of advanced analytics, forecasts, manages and optimizes the movement of vessels and cargo through the entire supply chain. Their system is comprised of a plethora of modules including optimum route and cost calculators, port schedulers, exposure forecasting models and contract and documentation management tools, which in unison to reduce the cost, time and risk of product shipping and transport.
You will be working on the complete redevelopment of existing applications (no porting involved) and ensuring that they are extendable and scalable, new module development, application integration and the modernizing of the front end (WinForms to HTML5, Angular & TypeScript).
They have an established team of 8 developers who work according to Scrum and although they are part of the international entity, their South African office has full authority over their tech stack, allowing for experimentation with, and adoption of new technologies. They are currently using Visual Studio 2013 but will be moving to 2017 early next year.
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, information Systems or IT
- Proficiency in C#, Multi-tier architecture
- Experience with OO and .Net Design patterns
- SQL Server 2014
- Knowledge of Software versioning and revision control (i.e. SVN)
- NHibernate, DevExpress, nUnit, Robot Automation
