Based in KUILS RIVER, this Electronics Engineering position pays between R32k and R42k pm (qualification and experience dependant)
For more than 15 years, this company has engineered, developed and marketed a range of highly specialized electronic devices and software systems for the agricultural sector.
Their solutions make use of custom built electronic probes to continually measure, monitor and record soil characteristics, which is then fed back and converted by their in-house software into meaningful agricultural management information. With the additional data received from their wireless weather sensors, their systems then automate all site irrigation activities. In addition to this, their software offering also addresses asset and personal management as well as record keeping.
As the agricultural sector has become more reliant on information systems, the demand for their solutions has grown to include international clientele.
The role will entail the creation of electronic designs and layouts in CAD, embedded software development and maintenance (C Programming); electronic development right down to production level; conducting of preventative and corrective maintenance (electronic & electrical) on company specific equipment; drawing up and interpretation of schematic diagrams and assisting the production teams with fault finding and repairs.
Diploma or Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
A minimum of 3 years relevant experience
Ability to draw up schematics and effectively interpret schematic diagrams
Proficiency in electronic design and layout using CAD
Experience with PIC18 and Atmega microprocessors
Embedded software development and maintenance (C Programming)
