Based in CAPE TOWN (SOUTHERN SUBURBS) this WEB DEVELOPER role offers a salary of R680K – R720K/annum.
With operations in South Africa and Australia this innovative Software Engineering Company is an open source development specialist focused on advanced solutions for Juniper ecosystems – they are a Juniper Technology Partner. They have developed a cloud-based network management platform which provides a simple way for Global Enterprises to manage their environments.
The company employs a team of exceptional Open Source Software Engineers, specialists in Google GO (Golang), Python, Ruby, C, C++, PHP and JS.
You will receive extensive training in all of these technologies and programming languages.
As a Full Stack Developer you will assist with the current web app as well as take ownership of executing plans to develop the framework to a client side solution.
You must be motivated by sharing knowledge and working closely as part of a dynamic team.
You will thrive on building a foundation for future products/services and implementing solutions.
The role will enable you to work with the newest technologies and have autonomy to create work without being micromanaged.
The day-to-day: Lead development of new features for the future of the Platform, including Web UI, API integration and services. You’ll help grow the platform by actively participating in code reviews, pair programming, training and mentoring.
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Experience with open source coding in any of JS, Go, Ruby, Python or PHP.
Good understanding of web technologies and how to best harness them for performance.
Proficient with databases (NoSQL and RDBMS) and RESTful APIs.
Passionate about pragmatic code design and strong desire to contribute to a small team.
Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and/or micro-services architecture (MSA).
Good understanding of Linux.
