Based in WOODSTOCK, CAPE TOWN, this HR AND OPERATIONS MANAGER role offers a salary of R420K – R480K/annum.

As an Analytics & Strategy Consultancy the business typically employs very bright people with exceptional education and experience within the Technology, Data Science, Research & Analytics fields. Current headcount is around 60 people - the company has grown considerably in the past few years, and this HR role is for an energetic HR professional who can manage a team of young, intelligent people who have a love for analytics, data and research.
As HR & OPERATIONS MANAGER you will oversee all aspects of HUMAN RESOURCES practices and processes. You will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives.
The goal is to promote corporate values and enable business success through HR management, including developing and managing HR policies, procedures and processes, job design, recruitment, staff take-on, training & development, talent management, performance management, compliance, transformation management, company communication, knowledge sharing and HR administration.
You will develop HR strategies aligned with the business strategy; constantly enhance Management & Employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues; Recruit, grow and retain staff. You’ll also develop & monitor overall HR systems, tactics and procedures, and manage all HR Administration including leave management, payroll & EE compliance. Oversee a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and feeds into salary reviews and bonuses. Assess training needs. Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
Proven working experience as HR MANAGER OR HR EXECUTIVE, (ideally with experience in the IT or Data or Analytics or Consultancy sectors).
Demonstrable experience with HUMAN RESOURCES METRICS.
Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
In-depth knowledge of labour law, HR BEST PRACTICES AND BEE COMPLIANCE.
