Awesome opportunity for a JAVA DEVELOPER (MIDDLEWARE), to join a highly versatile International SOFTWARE COMPANY specialising in web, mobile and communications solutions for the GLOBAL AIRLINE INDUSTRY.  This business provides airlines with internet and mobile solutions for booking flights, check-in, notifications and crew management.

LOCATION:  This JAVA DEVELOPER MIDDLEWARE, role is based in FRANKFURT (GERMANY) and is open to SOUTH AFRICANS (EU Visa will be sponsored) and EU Nationals. 

Mid-level: 40000 EURO - 45000 EURO
Senior-level: 50000 EURO - 70000 EURO
Junior-level: 25000 EURO - 35000 EURO

Their solutions include AIRLINE BOOKING ENGINES, ONLINE CHECK-IN, MOBILE CHECK-IN AND FLIGHT NOTIFICATION SYSTEMS.  The company is based in FRANKFURT (GERMANY) as well as Croatia, the UK, Australia, Ireland and the USA.

Looking for grad, mid-level or senior Java developer to join a global product development team. The team are developing their Continuous Integration strategy more and more, recently introducing Consul for configuration changes, making more use of Jenkins for automation and Liquibase for database versioning. Also working with high throughput MQ solutions to asynchronous processing.
You will participate in the full development lifecycle from concept to deployment, using agile methodologies and the latest technologies.  Main tasks include Designing, developing, and maintaining complex, dynamic applications;  Analysis of business requirements;  Supporting the deployment of systems and diagnosis of problems;  Estimation and prioritisation of own work activities;  Interaction with project managers and customers;  Close collaboration with worldwide colleagues and clients.

Software development using modern languages (ideally Java)
Programming concepts, data structures, and object-orientation
Relational database development using SQL (ideally with MySQL)
General software development practices (ideally using IDEs such as Eclipse)

Some understanding of, and ideally experience with:
UNIX (ideally Linux) as well as operating system and networking concepts
Highly available, highly scalable, high volume transactional systems
Working in small teams with end-to-end responsibility for delivery of complete
Reading, understanding, and contributing to technical specifications
Source control systems and branching models (ideally using Mercurial, or any modern system such as Git)

Beneficial skills
Spring, Hibernate and Infinispan
Creating and consuming APIs (e.g. RESTful Web services)
NoSQL databases and message queuing (ideally using JMS)
Test-driven development and continuous integration tools
Using build and deployment tools such as MAVEN
Systems and/or database administration (e.g. performance analysis and tuning).
Load testing tools such as JMeter
HTTP, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript
