This is an excellent opportunity for a LEAD DEVELOPER/PRODUCT OWNER to join a rapidly growing UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS & DIGITAL MARKETING Company, and to take on the position of CTO.
Based in SEA POINT (CAPE TOWN) this role offers a salary of around R1mil/annum.
This is a UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS and DIGITAL MARKETING Business who have been operating for 5 years and are at a point of growth. They specialise in building and fulfilling Integrated Consumer Communication strategies and deliverables for a range of consumer-market clients achieved through lead generation, data acquisition and technology platforms. Further to this they are experts in Campaign measurement, optimisation and insight provision. Their platform and tech stack enable automated communications, automated voice messages, SMS, Email and Digital Contact.
Using your Software Development/Product Management experience you will manage all aspects of the company’s technology platform, future tech stack decisions, technical staff and outsourced partners.
The position will escalate into becoming CTO, where you’ll then also look at long-term strategy around technology requirements, roadmaps, innovations in the tech stack and the relevant recruitment of technical staff and developers. The development function is currently outsourced, and the plan is to insource these skills. You will be responsible for guiding this process.
A demonstrated background as either a LEAD DEVELOPER / PRODUCT OWNER.
Current or prior experience in Java Development will be an advantage, but not essential.
Strong Systems Integration experience.
Ability to establish IT services frameworks.
Strong Project Management skills.
Ability to lead, manage and recruit.
Experience managing an outsourced development team will be a real plus, and if you’ve had experience insourcing development this will be absolutely ideal.
