An awesome opportunity for a PROJECT MANAGER to join a CAPE TOWN based FinTech Company who are expanding Internationally.
This company is an established SME – their Products and Solutions are in use by pretty much all Investment Management businesses in SA. They are now growing aggressively and expanding across 11 international markets. This PROJECT MANAGEMENT position exists as a result of their growth.
Based in CAPE TOWN this Project Manager role offers a salary of R800K – R850K/annum.
An established FinTech Company delivering Products and Solutions to the INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT Industry. They develop and license their own software and provide consulting services to implement the products and create business solutions for top asset managers, multi-managers, hedge funds and analytics service providers. This company is the market leader in South Africa and also have growing international clients located in Europe, United Kingdom, North America and Australia. They have access to wide variety of client engagement opportunities, allowing them to interact with a broad cross section of the investment community.
As a result of growth there is a need for a PROJECT MANAGER – you’ll work closely with Software implementation teams and clients. The team are highly skilled, professional, experienced and delivery focused. A unique advantage is working closely with the development team – who develop and maintain the product suite. As Project Manager you will regularly provide the development team with product enhancement requests and will be in constant communication with regards to new product releases and versions.
Key Responsibilities include:
Lead successful implementations of projects; Managing implementation projects to meet timelines and budget requirements; Driving daily stand-ups with project teams; Overseeing the delivery of project phases over the course of the implementation life cycle for each project; Communicate project status to clients, project sponsors and senior management; Project risk assessment and mitigation; Updating project plans & timelines over the course of the implementation lifecycle; Presenting project status updates at SteerCo meetings; Monitoring of budgeted vs. actual costs; Driving weekly project status meetings with clients; Project administration (coordinating meeting logistics, plan and status updates etc.).
Extremely proficient with MS Project or an equivalent project management tool.
Recognised Project Management qualification is required.
PMP Certification advantageous.
5+ years of project management experience in a formal project management role.
Experience in agile project implementation methodologies required.
Experience in running multiple concurrent implementation projects covering the full SDLC required.
Experience in projects related to investment systems and processes advantageous.
If you have broad knowledge of investment related systems that will be an advantage (but not essential).
Project implementation experience relating to Data Warehousing advantageous.
Experience in dealing with multiple companies on one projects where teams are in multiple locations advantageous.
