Join a leading E-Commerce business who are revolutionising the retail industry in South Africa. They are focused on providing a world class, innovative shopping experience; providing multiple online platforms and designing & building solutions which improve customer experience. The company will be launching its first operation in Johannesburg and they are looking for highly skilled Tech Savvy individuals to join their team.
You will be responsible for using functional programming (Scala, Erlang, LISP OR Haskell) to develop & optimize systems which are used for the delivery of goods throughout South Africa. Utilizing event driven architecture, they are able to model the delivery network and identify unique problems in the logistics space. You will be responsible for migrating the delivery platform to Scala which aims to address current logistics issues and improve processes - making this online retailer the best in the business.
TECHS YOU WILL WORK WITH:
• Play Framework
• Akka Actors
• MQTT & Kafka
• Amazon Web Services
• Graphite and Grafana
• BSc, BCom degree or similar qualification
• 3+ years development experience with either Scala, Java, Haskell, Erlang, LISP, Clojure
• Experience writing robust, efficient production code
• Experience working with open-source platforms
• SQL database experience
