Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a DATA ANALYST looking to enhance their DATA SCIENCE ANALYTICS experience – this position will expose you to Analytics for a large bank’s Loyalty Programme, and technically your use of Data Science/Insight techniques to measure customer behaviour.

Based in CAPE TOWN this SENIOR DATA ANALYST (DATA SCIENCE) role offers a salary of R480K – R540K/annum.

They are expert in the power of strategy, research and analytics to understand customers behaviour and to implement customer centric solutions that drive value to both customers and shareholders. 
The business employs a highly skilled team of numeric, analytics and data science specialists, all with advanced mathematical and statistical analysis expertise.

Working within a project team you will be involved in the delivery of analytics for a large bank's Loyalty Programme. This will include reporting deliverables and advanced analytics, where you’ll use Data Science/analytical techniques to measure customer behaviour change.  This includes building the loyalty business case, designing the programme rules, and delivering month to month programme analytics. 
Additionally, you will work on various bespoke analytics projects in the retail and banking space as well as the design and delivery of analytics systems. 

The value of your work will be in providing analytics and data-driven insights to support strategic objectives of the loyalty programme. 

Day to day you will also be involved in Campaign design and analytics to improve customer retention, acquisition and engagement on the loyalty programme, Business Case development to support negotiations, Develop and maintain dynamic graphical dashboards to support management reporting, Perform scenario analyses, statistical analysis on customer transaction data and financial projections specific to the loyalty programme. 

Highly proficient in Excel.
SQL (MySQL / HP Vertica / similar) beneficial.
Knowledge of R or other relevant analytics tools.
Excellent problem solver, with high attention to detail.
Analytical experience including scenario modelling, impact analysis, etc.
