This is an excellent opportunity for a SYSTEMS SUPPORT ENGINEER / SYSTEMS SUPPORT ANALYST (Tier 2/Tier 3) to join a great ASSET MANAGEMENT Company in CAPE TOWN – the role provides an opportunity to gain skills in INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT / ASSET MANAGEMENT Systems and Applications, Pension & Business Systems utilised across Front- and Back-Office Trading environments.

Based in CAPE TOWN this SYSTEMS SUPPORT role offers a salary of R300K – R400K/annum.

THE COMPANY:
An INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT business who’ve driven innovative and highly successful Investment processes through the utilisation of advanced technology systems. They deliver market-leading Asset & Pension fund performance for their clients. This is an established niche business employing 120 people in Cape Town. The business is committed to ongoing investment into their Business Systems, therefore technically your expertise will remain current. 

THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Application Support Manager, you will learn about all business processes relating to the administration of Pension Funds and how these processes are supported by the Business Systems. 
You will then be the first point of call assisting internal users understanding how to operate the system as well as performing initial root cause analysis on all reported incidents. You will also be required to help corporate clients in operating the systems’ self-service web-based module, including training and remote support where needed.
The main system you will support is a Pension Fund Administration system (which is similar to a payroll systems) - this system runs on users’ desktops as well as a via a Web Interface – a key part of the role will be supporting clients in mastering the self-service component of the system which is a module available on their website.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Ideally degree educated (but not essential).
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant support role. 
Experience supporting Web based applications, user training, local and remote user’s support.
Business Analysis understanding.
Any previous experience supporting Pension Funds/Payroll Systems (e.g. Sage) an advantage (but not essential).
An interest in the Investment Management and Asset Management industry is required.
