This WEB DEVELOPER role will enable you to become an expert in Google GO, JS and Python.
Based in CAPE TOWN (SOUTHERN SUBURBS) this WEB DEVELOPER role offers a salary of R680K – R720K/annum.
This is a technically advanced SOFTWARE ENGINEERING Company with operations in both South Africa and Australia – they specialise in Open Source development, and are developing a cloud-based platform which provides a simple way for their Global Enterprise clients to manage their environments. The company employs a team of exceptional Open Source Software Engineers who are specialists in Google GO (Golang), Python, Ruby, C, C++, PHP and JS. You will receive ongoing training in all of these technologies and programming languages.
As a Full Stack WEB DEVELOPER you will lead development of features for the platform including Web UI, API integration and services.
You must be motivated by sharing knowledge and working closely as part of a specialist team.
You will thrive on building a foundation for future products/services and implementing solutions.
The role will enable you to work with the newest technologies and have autonomy to create work without being micromanaged.
The day-to-day: Lead development of new features for the future of the Platform, including Web UI, API integration and services. You’ll help grow the platform by actively participating in code reviews, pair programming, training and mentoring.
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Experience with open source coding in any of JS, Go, Ruby, Python or PHP.
Good understanding of web technologies and how to best harness them for performance.
Passionate about pragmatic code design and strong desire to contribute to a small team.
Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and/or micro-services architecture (MSA).
Good understanding of Linux.
